How to Plan a Pilates Birthday Party or Bachelorette in Columbus

Your favorite people. A private Pilates class. A reason to celebrate.

Whether you’re organizing a birthday, planning a bachelorette weekend, or bringing your group together just because, a private Pilates event gives you something to do together and plenty to talk about afterward.

Pilates by Ashtyn offers private-class inquiries at our Italian Village and Westerville studios. Here’s how to start planning yours.

Start with your group size

Your headcount will help determine which studio and class format could work.

Have a larger group? Mat may give you more room to bring everyone together. A smaller group can inquire about either format.

These are participant limits; availability and event arrangements need to be confirmed with the studio.

Choose Mat or Reformer

Mat Pilates primarily uses body weight and, depending on the class, props. Reformer Pilates uses a spring-loaded apparatus with a moving carriage and straps.

Both offer an intentional movement experience, but your group may have a preference.

When you inquire, share whether your guests are new to Pilates, familiar with the reformer, or a mix of experience levels. The team can discuss an appropriate format for the group.

You can learn more about Reformer Pilates at PBA before submitting your inquiry.

Pick the location that fits your plans

If your celebration includes time in central Columbus, explore our Italian Village studio at 1146 N. 4th St.

For a celebration based around Westerville, explore our Westerville studio at 680 N. State St.

Consider where guests are staying and what you have planned before or after class.

Share the details when you inquire

To help the team understand your event, include:

  • What you’re celebrating.

  • Your estimated number of participants.

  • Your preferred studio.

  • Your preferred date and any alternatives.

  • Whether you’re interested in Mat or Reformer.

  • Your group’s Pilates experience.

  • Any requests or movement considerations you’d like to discuss.

Ask the team to confirm pricing, availability, timing, and what is included. If you’re considering decorations, refreshments, or additional time for photos, check what can be accommodated before making plans.

Let your guests know what to bring

PBA requires grip socks for all classes. Guests should also bring a water bottle and wear comfortable workout clothes.

The studio provides the equipment needed for class, and grip socks are available to purchase on-site.

Make it a PBA celebration

You don’t need to have every detail settled before reaching out. Start with your group, your occasion, and a few possible dates.
