You’ve found a class you love. Now comes the next question: how often should you go?
There isn’t one schedule that works for every body, goal, or calendar. Your Pilates routine should account for your experience, the classes you choose, your recovery, and everything else you do throughout the week.
At PBA, we want you to build a practice you can return to consistently.
Start with a routine you can maintain
A packed week of classes means little if it leaves you unable to keep going.
Choose a starting schedule that feels manageable, then pay attention to how you respond. Are you recovering between classes? Are you becoming more comfortable with the movements? Does your routine fit your life?
Your instructor can help you choose formats and decide when you’re ready for more challenges.
The class you choose matters, too
Pilates classes can emphasize different things. Some focus on foundational control and precision. Others place more emphasis on resistance, muscular endurance, or conditioning.
At PBA, that distinction matters.
Our signature Reformer Pilates class combines Pilates foundations with intentional full-body work. Formats such as Lower Body Focus and Upper Body – The PBA Way give specific areas more attention.

Our Mat classes also offer different experiences. Signature Mat Pilates focuses on the foundations, while formats such as Arms & Abs introduce props and additional resistance.
Mat Sculpt & Strength is our dedicated strength-training format, using dumbbells up to 20 pounds. It is strength training rather than traditional Pilates.
Explore our Mat formats to see how each fits into your routine.
Build the foundation before adding intensity
Progress doesn’t always mean choosing the fastest class or the heaviest resistance.
It can mean understanding a cue, moving with more control, or completing an exercise without losing the alignment you’re practicing.
If you’re new, begin with Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, or Intro to Reformer. Get familiar with the method before moving into Power, Spicy, or Cardio formats.
Our class descriptions can help you choose the appropriate starting point.
Consider your whole week
Your Pilates schedule doesn’t exist in isolation.
If you also lift, run, play sports, or have a physically demanding routine, consider that workload when planning classes. Leave room to recover and adjust when you need to.
The goal is a routine that supports your life and keeps you coming back.
Make consistency easier
